SCHOOL RULES & REGULATIONS

DO’S

  • Students must arrive at school on time. Latecomers will not be allowed entry.

  • Students must wear a neat, properly ironed and correctly sized school uniform, with a proper haircut and trimmed nails.

  • Students must carry their Identity Card (with the latest photograph in school uniform) and School Diary every day. Without these, students will not be allowed to enter the classroom, laboratory, library, school assembly or functions.

  • At the sound of the first bell, students must assemble for prayer. After the assembly, they should move quietly in a line to their respective classrooms.

  • Students must keep their classrooms and the school premises clean and tidy.

  • During school hours, students must move around the school premises quietly and in an orderly manner.

  • Attendants bringing tiffins should wait near the school gate until the interval bell rings. Students may then go and collect their tiffins.

  • Every student must participate in school games and other activities unless declared physically unfit or exempted by the Principal.

  • Cycles must be properly locked and kept only at the designated cycle stand. A nominal parking fee may be applicable.

  • Students arriving on scooters/motorbikes must carry a valid driving licence. Parking will be permitted only to students holding a valid licence.

  • Students being dropped off or picked up by parents must leave with their parents/authorized guardians only. In case of any delay, students must report to the Security Officer at the main gate.

  • Students must behave properly wherever they go and remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their seniors, teachers and elders whenever and wherever they meet them.

  • Once a student has been selected for any school programme, participation is compulsory. No relaxation will be given.

DON’TS

  • Students must not bring or keep costly items or valuables such as calculators, precious coins, stamps, jewellery or other expensive articles in school. The school will not be responsible for the loss of such items.

  • Students must not use the school telephone without permission. Prior permission must be obtained from the Receptionist. Students will not be permitted to answer personal phone calls during school hours.

  • No collection for any purpose whatsoever may be made in the school without the prior permission of the Principal.

  • Students must not scratch, spoil or damage desks, furniture, walls or any other school property. They must not write or draw on walls, furniture or other surfaces, or damage belongings of others.

  • Any damage, even if accidental, must be reported immediately to the Class Teacher or Principal. The concerned student(s) will be responsible for the cost of repair/replacement and may also be fined. Serious offences may lead to expulsion from the school.

  • Students are not allowed to wear rings, bracelets, earrings or any other jewellery in school.

  • Mobile phones, CDs, pen drives, cameras, iPods and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited on the school premises.

  • Students of Classes I to VIII are not permitted to wear wristwatches.

STRICT DISCIPLINARY ACTION

The school may take strict disciplinary action against a student if:

  • The student deviates from school norms and guidelines.

  • The student damages or spoils school property, furniture, walls or other school resources.

  • The student is repeatedly indisciplined and does not improve despite warnings and there is sufficient evidence/report against the student.

  • The student's conduct is undesirable or harmful to the school.

  • The student is involved in immorality, grave insubordination, contempt for authority or wilful damage to school property. Such conduct may result in immediate expulsion from the school.

  • The student brings firecrackers to the school premises.

  • The student brings or splashes colours in the school premises.

  • The student wears rings, bracelets, earrings or any other jewellery in school.

  • The student brings mobile phones, CDs, cameras, iPods or any other objectionable/prohibited material to the school premises.

  • The student repeatedly comes to school improperly dressed, without a proper haircut or with untrimmed nails, despite warnings.

  • The student repeatedly fails to bring the School Diary and Identity Card despite being warned.
